Frederick Treves was a doctor at the London Hospital.

One day in 1884, he saw a picture in the window of a shop.

It was horrible, ugly picture. In the picture had a person.

He went in a shop. He pays two pence for saw creature.

He was a man. His name was Joseph Merrick. Dr Treves would like to saw him in the hospital, because was interesting.

Long time later, Dr Treves and Mr Merrick were a friends.

 Joseph was famous; he had very visitors, because one was the Queen of England, Alexandra. She was a friend at Merrick.

He lived in the hospital with Dr Treves and nurses. They were his friends.

One day, Merrick went to theatre with nurses, but he was afraid.

Long time later, Merrick lived in a small house in the wood and he died in his bed.
