Resumen de "The Elephant Man


Frederick Treves was a doctor at the London Hospital.
One day in 1884, he saw a picture in the window of a shop.
It was horrible, ugly picture. In the picture had a person.
He went in a shop. He pays two pence for saw creature.
He was a man. His name was Joseph Merrick. Dr Treves would like to saw him in the hospital, because was interesting.
Long time later, Dr Treves and Mr Merrick were a friends.
 Joseph was famous; he had very visitors, because one was the Queen of England, Alexandra. She was a friend at Merrick.
He lived in the hospital with Dr Treves and nurses. They were his friends.
One day, Merrick went to theatre with nurses, but he was afraid.
Long time later, Merrick lived in a small house in the wood and he died in his bed.

“Will”



-       USOS:

a)   Usamos el Futuro Simple para referirnos a predicciones con poca evidencia.
For example:

I think it’ll probably rain this evening.
I think my novel will probably sell good.


b)   También lo usamos para promesas y amenazas.
For example:

We will learn this lesson tomorrow.
I’ll pass you.


c)   También se usa para decisiones que tomamos en el momento de hablar.
For example:

Mario: What are we doing when we finihs this exercise?
Rober: We’ll probably listen a english song.
Mario: That’s right.


d)   Y por último, para pedir y ofrecer ayuda.
For example:

Will you help me?
I’ll explain this lesson.

-         Nosotros usamos el pasado simple para hablar de acciones en el pasado.

CONJUGACION
Verbos regulares

Subject + verb finished –ed.

Examples: I finished my work
                  I studied English

Presente Continuo/Present Continuous


·      USOS:

a)    El Presente Continuo se emplea para acciones que se están realizando en este mismo momento.
For example:

I’m writing this lesson.
You are reading this lesson.


b)    El Presente Continuo también se emplea para hacer referencia a acciones que se desarrollan en el tiempo en el que se está hablando, aunque no necesariamente en ese mismo instante.
For example:

You are studying first of E.S.O.
We are studying something.


c)    También se utiliza para acciones que van a tener lugar en un futuro próximo, y para las cuales se tiene una certeza firme. En estos casos se añade el momento en el que se sucederá la acción.
For example:

We are learning english this evening.
I’m teaching this lesson this evening.


d)    También lo empleamos en acciones que se repiten con frecuencia. En este caso se debe añadir el adverbio “always” (siempre).
For example:

I’m always working the weekends.
We are always learning english the Thursdays.
